Hi guys! I know I am a bit late in posting . This is not an excuse as I should have planned ahead and stopped procrastinating 0.o lol. Moving on, today's blog post was inspired by my recent trip down memory lane.
I was cleaning out my google drive folders and came across some body shot pics from my previous weightloss journey (see pictures below). Going through these pictures, I was amazed at how great my body actually looked like contrary to what I used to think when I took the pictures. I kept asking myself; why did I always feel fat then? As you can see for yourself, I really wasn't fat or anywhere near. I mean, What the hell was a thinking ? ???? I wasted so much time feeling uncomfortable, defeated and self-loathing for absolutely no reason at all.
Fast forward, I spent the rest of my week thinking about the pictures and I realized that I really wasn't grateful with the small changes throughout that entire journey. This is something I have had to come in terms with and realize that I'll never truly be grateful for my progress until I start appreciating the small accomplishments and totally rewire my thoughts in the process.
I'm so glad for realizing this and this is something I'm committed to be working on on this weightloss journey. If you are out there in the same mentality as I do, please please please go easy on yourself, be consistent, push yourself and THOROUGHLY enjoy EVERY accomplishment. No matter how small it seems, thoroughly enjoy that. This also applies in many areas in life and not just limited to weightloss.
If you are searching for a job, your purpose, struggling with addiction etc. Just keep going and appreciate EVERY single action you make for the better.
